More uses for your phone than just making calls. There are so many times in your daily life that your smart phone could be of assistance, besides checking your Facebook posts. Start using your phone for anyone of the following ideas, and you could save time, stress and a little brain space. *Unlock your car. If you find that you have locked your keys in your car and you have a remote keyless entry, you may be in luck. Call someone who has access to a spare key, have them press the unlock key into the phone while you place your phone about 12 inches from your car. You may be able to prevent someone from having to come and unlock you.
*A Light when you need it. Just turning on your phone can give you enough light in some situations. You can also get a flashlight app. This will give you access to different lights, from flashlights, to emergency lights, to glow sticks, or my favorite a lighter you can use at your favorite concert. *Scan documents. I have a scanner at home, but when I am out and about it’s great to be able to make a copy of a recipe or a receipt. I use Scannable to input business cards. It loads the information into my contacts directly. *Comparison shop. Scan barcodes and compare prices anywhere you are. ShopSavvy is an app I use when I’m shopping, it lets me see where I can find the best price. This also helps when stores have “matching price” guarantees. GasBuddy will also give you the best price on gas near you (location must be turned on to use this). Remember to take a photo! It's great that you now have a camera with you whenever you carry your phone. Here are a few times hat helps out… Everyday help, take a picture -of your coat check or Dry cleaning ticket, just in case you misplace it. -of your parking place in a new area or parking structure, in case you have too much on your mind. -of the floor number near the elevator in a parking structure. This has saved me a bunch of times. -of your car if you are in an accident, take a picture of the other car also. Taking a picture of the other person or their insurance information can't hurt either. Traveling help, take a picture -of your car rental and the license plate, there are so many silver cars out there. -of your children each morning of your vacation, in case you are separated. -of your hotel name and address. There could be many hotels in the same city of the same chain of hotels, sometimes very close to each other. -of the contents of your suitcase in case the airlines lose your luggage. There are so many Apps out there that it can feel a little bit overwhelming. Get other people's opinions and of course try the free version first. I’m all about saving time and having to remember less, so I hope these tips will help you too. Wishing you an Uncluttered Life!
