15 Minute Organizing

4/7/2016

How simple life would be, if we could be organized in 15 minutes.

It’s possible; it just will take more than one session. Look around your home or office, and find out where the most unorganized area is located.  Now if you spend 15 minutes a day on that one area, you would be organized quicker than you know it.

Procrastination is a big factor in being disorganized.  Your house is so cluttered, it’s going to take you forever! It will if you never start! Break it down into 15 minute chunks of time and you will soon begin to see progress.

Here are some areas in your home, office and life that could benefit from just 15 minutes a day.  Who knows, you may find it so rewarding you add another 15 minutes.

15 Minute Drawers Take  any drawer; a kitchen drawer, a bathroom drawer, your sock drawer, or your desk drawer, first toss any items that are broken, expired or not used.  Then remove items that don’t belong there. Finally, place like items together, by use, by size or by color. You’ll have a clean drawer in no time.

15 Minute Medicine Cabinet Medication does expire, so this is a time to check the date on all your medication.  Make a list of the items you need, and the next time you go shopping, pick them up.  Give the medicine cabinet a good wipe down. Finally, replace the items you are keeping.

15 Minute Kitchen Organizing your kitchen can seem quite daunting. It is doable if you break it down into small steps. Start from one spot in your kitchen and work clockwise around the space. Do half of a cabinet in one session, the second half the next session.  Repeat, repeat, repeat.

15 Minute Car You car organization can be accomplished every time you stop for gas. Just do one area each time, but do it consistently and your car will always look organized. Dump the trash, go through the glove compartment, check under the seats or spot clean your trunk.  Gas stations are a perfect place for doing this because you have the trash can, paper towels and even a vacuum cleaner at your disposal.

You can accomplish anything when you organize in small time increments.  Just remember, Organizing a thousand spaces, starts with one 15 Minute session at a time.

Wishing you an Uncluttered Life!
